ELIGIBILITY
An Honorary Doctorate may be awarded to an individual who has achieved acknowledged eminence in cultural affairs, in public service, or in a field of knowledge and scholarship, consistent with the ideals and purposes of the university. An Honorary Doctorate recognizes the extraordinary and lasting distinction. Nominees need not have been educated at or otherwise associated with the PAL University before being conferred with the degree.
Honorary degrees are not awarded to encourage or reward financial contributions to the university. However, honorary degrees may serve as a way of identifying with or honoring individuals who are highly regarded for achievements in their fields of endeavor. Administrative fee may be required from nominees.
CRITERIA
While many universities provide their own strict criteria for honorary candidates, at PAL University an Honorary Doctorate Degree may only be given to an individual with sustained lifetime achievement, rather than Candidacy for the degree often represents a school’s prominent vocation or pursuit. However, PAL University put more emphasis on the prolonged bearing of an individual’s accomplishment.
The University requires the honoree to be present at the time the degree is conferred. PAL University allows honorary Doctorate Degree to be awarded posthumously, and the degree may be accepted by the honoree’s family or colleagues.
LIMITATIONS
The Nomination and review process is confidential. No disclosure is to be made until after Board of Regents review and the institution’s subsequent invitation to the nominee.
As a matter of policy, the Board generally limits to one the number of honorary degrees any individual may receive from the PAL University system.
Honorary Degrees are to be awarded in person and/or in absentia only in exceptional cases. A degree may be awarded posthumously to a nominee if, after accepting the chancellor’s invitation, the nominee’s death occurs before the scheduled conferral.

SELECTION PROCESS
Based on the type of honorary doctorate degree being awarded, the Honorary Award Committee reviews nominations. Candidates or nominating parties typically must submit a minimum of a nomination form and biography by a specified deadline through: info@pal.edu.pl or info@pal.education
The Honorary Award Committee reviews all documentation and presents its recommendations to the Board of Regents through the faculty. The school notifies accepted honorees and confers the degrees during regular commencement ceremonies. Meanwhile, the University also appreciates a sizable donation from Honorary Degree Recipients
PROCEDURES
PAL University Partners/Representatives that nominate candidates for Honorary Doctorate shall do so in consistent with procedures, policies, and criteria developed by PAL University Board.
At least a month prior to the commencement ceremony at which an Honorary Degree is to be conferred, and at least two weeks prior to a regularly-scheduled Board of Regents meeting, the University affiliates shall forward to the Secretary of the Board of Regents: (1) a letter from the PAL representative indicating the name of the nominee(s) and expressing the President approval; (2) the Curriculum Vitae or Resume of the Nominee(s); and (3) Letters of recommendation and other documentation of the contributions of the nominee and the merits of the nominee as an Honorary Degree recipient. It is the responsibility of the PAL University to exercise due diligence in ensuring that a nominee is of high moral character.
Upon the timely receipt of an Honorary Degree nomination from an affiliate or partners of the University, the Secretary shall: (1) review nominations to verify consistency with the requirements of this policy and to confirm, to the extent possible, that a nomination poses a low risk of reputation harm to the University; (2) if any concerns are identified, consult with the President of the Board of Regents as appropriate; (3) after any concerns are addressed, place the nomination on the agenda of the Board’s next regular meeting for Board of Regents review; and (4) notify the representative of a favorable review by the Board.
After the Board’s review, the President may invite the candidate to attend the commencement ceremony at which the degree is to be conferred.

He holds a DBA and DM from ISC Global, Paris, an MPhil from Exceed College UAE, an MBA from StrathUni, UK, and an MAcc from GCAL, UK. His BSc is from ABU, Nigeria. He was born on June 2, 1963, in Nigeria. His professional experience includes roles in financial consulting and management, notably with the Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation and EL-TREXONE CONSULTING LIMITED. He is a member of various professional associations and is highly skilled in financial management and computer literacy.
Dr. Triumphant Olorunfemi Obamoh is an ordained Pastor at Living Faith Church Worldwide, with expertise in church ministry, administration, and pharmaceutical services. He holds a B.Pharm from Ahmadu Bello University. His career includes roles at ROCHE Nigeria Limited and various administrative positions as a State Pastor of Living Faith Church
Dr. Obamoh possesses skills in interactive selling, decision-making, and Microsoft proficiency. He has received awards and certifications, including membership in the Nigeria Institute of Management. His key competencies include leadership, effective management, community development, and high-level decision-making.
Alh. Abubakar Kent Mohammed, MNIM: Pioneer of Farmers’ Chronicle, management consultant, and entrepreneur. ESUT Business School alum. Board Member at Travolta Engineering Services Limited, Castle Mart Hubs Limited. Founded HPR Farms Limited in 2006, promoting integrated farming on a 35-hectare land in Kaduna State. Advocate for agricultural education; established “Kent Agricultural Development Initiative” NGO. Member of professional organizations. President of Perfect House for Friends (PHF), a non-political youth organization promoting unity and development. Born in 1972 in Okene, Kogi State. Sports enthusiast and member of Tukur Yusuf Buratai Golf Resort. Hobbies include traveling and farming. Married with five children.
Dr. Haruna Abdulrahman Enoch, a business development expert, collaborates with founders and C-suite executives, leveraging his strategic playbook template for success. With a strong business acumen, he aids businesses in substantial growth. Haruna, an IT professional turned strategist, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Information Technology and pursues a Ph.D. at Baze University. As a chartered banker (MCIB) and digital marketer, certified by Google, he serves on the boards of Egwafin Microfinance Bank and Oba Graduate Trainee Program. Dr. Enoch is the founder of DevX Strategy, dedicated to scaling businesses for sustainability.
